Licensure Board Meeting
February 9, 2009
11:00 – 1:00
1. On-line renewal [link to our web page?]
2. The Licensure Board is revising the “mid-year
verification of supervision” form, hopefully
ready for next year. They are interested in
tracking caseloads (e.g., # of aides supervised
and what is reasonable.)
3. A question arose regarding the need for
signatures from administrators when the Board
can’t hold them (administrators) accountable.
The new form will have a box for administrators
to check, indicating that they received a copy
of the supervision form.
4. Are interested in sending a survey to SLPs
re: # Aides supervised.
5. SLPs/Auds are required to keep records 7
years past the last session.
6. The question was presented related to the
number of years’ experience a SLP should have
prior to being allowed to supervise. They are
looking at defining the minimum # of years that
would represent “safe” experience.
7. A question arose related to the use of web
cams/video-conferencing for supervision of
aides. This issue will be researched. Current
law states “on-site” supervision. The Board is
interested to know what other States are doing.
MSHA will provide input through CSAP.
8. The Licensure Board may be interested in
having a Roundtable at Summer Institute.
