ASSISTANT LICENSURE AND INTERSTATE COMPACT MEMBERSHIP/LICENSURE INFORMATION 

JANUARY 15, 2024:

Information from the licensing board regarding assistant licensure and interstate compact licensure:

The Board has adopted the new rules for both SLPA and Interstate Compact Licensure, and all are currently awaiting approval from the Secretary of State.  The Board has submitted a request to have the website updated to include the new rules, and that should be updated in Mid-January.  The Department staff are currently in the process of creating the ...

Montana Speech-Language Hearing Foundation Scholarship

The Montana Speech-Language Hearing Foundation honors the dedication and service of speech language pathologists and audiologists in our state by offering financial support to students at the University of Montana. This year we are offering two $1000 scholarships.

Community Outreach & Resources

The MSHA Outreach Foundation is supported through MSHA fundraising events and private contributions. 

It is available to Montana residents of any age in need of monetary support for communication needs such as hearing aids, equipment, etc.

    When organizations register 4 or more members for MSHA as a group, each member will receive 10% off of their annual membership price, reducing price from $85.00 per person to $76.50 per person.

    Please join us for an exceptional one-day in-person live event!  Join us for our annual professional education event as we exchange ideas, gain new skills, hear the latest research and information related to speech-language pathology, audiology, and related health and education professions.  The goal of the MSHA Convention is to provide a networking and educational opportunity for professionals in Montana and surrounding states.  

    Choose from two fabulous speaker tracks!

    1: Katja Piscatelli, "The Boho Speechie" will be presenting on Neurodiversity Affirming Practices and Gestalt Language Processing.

    2: Dr. Thomas Flass, Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Nutrition Advocate, and author of Feeding Our Children will be presenting on the Connection Between Nutrition and Pediatric Development.
