Legislative information

August 12, 2023

The Public Policy Committee worked on several issues for the 2023 Legislative Session.  

1) SB 300 is an amendment to last session's Assistant Bill bill (HB2010, 2021) that will incorporate language changes by DLI.  The new target date for licensure of Assistants, proposed by the Licensure Board and DLI in their revisions, will be January, 2024.

    MSHA Fall Convention


    Please join us for an exceptional one-day in-person live event!  Join us for our annual professional education event as we exchange ideas, gain new skills, hear the latest research and information related to speech-language pathology, audiology, and related health and education professions.  The goal of the MSHA Fall Convention is to provide a networking and educational opportunity for professionals in Montana and surrounding states.  

    Choose from two fabulous speaker tracks!

    Amanda Soper, M.S. will present a full-day talk entitled, Seeing Success: AAC for students with Cerebral Vision Impairment.

    Catherine Off, Ph.D. and Danielle Fahey, Ph.D. will present a full-day talk entitled, Health Communication Strategies for Diverse Speakers in Medical Settings.

The MSHA Outreach Foundation is supported through MSHA fundraising events and private contributions. 

It is available to Montana residents of any age in need of monetary support for communication needs such as hearing aids, equipment, etc.
