Thank you for considering making a donation! 

There are two ways to donate: donate to either 

The Montana Speech-Language Hearing Association, or to

the Montana Speech-Language Hearing Foundation.  


Please read the information for each below and click on your preference. 

The Association and the Foundation do not share financial accounts, so donations must be made separately.



The Montana Speech-Language Hearing Association uses membership dues and donations for:

  • Operational Expenses, including but not limited to:
    • Maintaining the website for both MSHA and the Foundation;
    • Expenses incurred to provide continuing education and host an annual conference for Communication Professionals; 
    • Expenses to help send board members to ASHA events;
    • Membership in the Council of State Association Presidents 
  • Advocacy efforts in the legislature. Since 2013, MSHA has had a consistent presence in the Montana Legislature, sponsoring bills and partnering with other associations that have helped professionals and consumers across the state. Successful efforts have provided
    • Telepractice in Montana (2013)
    • Speech Therapy and Audiology Assistants                         (2019 & 2021, revision/amendment 2023)
    • Hearing Aids for individuals ages 0-18
    • Interstate Compact Bill (2023)

MSHA is a 501(c)(4) association, so donations can not be written off in your taxes.

The Montana Speech-Language Hearing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation that was established in January 2021. It is governed by a Board of Directors that is separate from the Board of MSHA.

The Foundation supports MSHA by

  • Providing scholarships to graduate students in Speech and Audiology training programs in Montana;
  • Providing community outreach funds to Montana residents in need of monetary support; and
  • Providing educational opportunities.

Because the Foundation has 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, Donations to the MSLH Foundation can be used as a tax write-off.
