Public Policy: To study and evaluate all regulations, legislation, and recommendations which might affect the speech and hearing profession or program and to help prepare and support such regulations and recommendations as will be beneficial to the profession; secure the services of a lobbyist with Board approval and act as liaison between the lobbyist and the Board of Directors.

Scholarship:  The scholarship committee reviews the application yearly and works with the Montana Speech and Hearing Foundation to determine what the amount of scholarship and number available will be.  Committee members meet virtually 3-4 times per year.  They review applications and complete a rubric to determine which graduate students are awarded MSHA Foundation scholarships.  Current members include Chair, Barbara Doughty, Alex Kosanda, Molly Beck, Susan Sanford, Mina May, Maida Ambris and Lezlie Pearce-Hopper.

Honors Committee: To receive and review recommendations for and to select persons to receive the honors of the Association; confer MSHA Awards to recipients at MSHA Annual Business luncheon.

Chelsea Watercutter

Continuing Education Committee: To administer MSHA’s sponsorship of continuing education programs in conjunction with Administrative Assistant.
